| My Bio
1957-61 Studied fine arts at the University of New Hampshire and received a B.A. degree. 1965-66 Studied ceramics at Greenwich House in New York City. 1966-70 Remained in New York City and continued my explorations in clay. 1970-84 Moved to Rochester New York where I trained at the Zen Center. The years there strengthened the qualities of perseverance and concentration and also effected my subsequent work through the emphasis on naturalness, awareness, and attention to detail. 1985-86 Studied ceramics at Rochester Institute of Technology. 1986-88 Remained in Rochester doing ceramic work. 1989 Moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico and opened Canyon Road Pottery, a studio & shop. 1999 to present Expanded my business in Ribera, New Mexico. La Sala Pottery is in a large stone building which was once a dance hall - Sala - and is still known by that name among the older people in the area. |
